What is Motability?

Motability is an organisation set up to help people who receive the Higher Mobility Component (HMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement. Its aim quite simply is to help disabled people become mobile at the lowest possible cost, and to help provide them with affordable transport.

How does it work?

Leasing a Honda through the Motability Contract Hire Scheme gives you three years of worry-free motoring. Maintenance, servicing, insurance, full RAC breakdown assistance, car tax, tyre and windscreen replacement and a 60,000 mileage allowance are included in the agreement. So all you pay is the Advanced Payment, Simple.

Are you eligible for a Motability car?

To join the Motability Car Scheme, you must be receiving either:

• Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) - currently £46.75 per week - or
• War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) - currently £52.25 per week.

Plus... with the Contract Hire package you do not need to drive. You can nominate up to two drivers who may be friends or relatives, and parents or carers can apply on behalf of a child aged three years and upwards.
